Getting Here
By Train
The mainline train station at Aberystwyth is 12 miles away, and from here you can catch a bus to Ponterwyd (2 miles away) and either walk to us alongside the picturesque Rheidol gorge, or if we're in, we'd be happy to pick you up. However, a better option for train lovers is to take the Narrow Gauge Steam Train on the Vale of Rheidol Railway from Aberystwyth Station, and arrive 2 miles to the south of us at the beautiful village of Devil's Bridge, from where you can take your pick of scenic footpaths to get to us, or again, give us a ring to see if you can scrounge a lift.
By Bus
National Express coaches and Megabusses to Aberystwyth stop at Ponterwyd if requested, from where you can walk here in under half an hour, or let us know if you need picking up and we'll see what we can do.
By Bike
Located just off Sustrans route 81 and on the westward point of a vast bridleway network, getting here by bike either on tarmac or gravel (or a combination of both if that's what you like!) couldn't be easier. With the nationally renowned mountain biking centre at Nant yr Arian only 4 miles away, and the scenic trails and roads of the Elan Valley within easy reach, it would almost be silly not to at least bring your bike, even if you don't do the whole journey here on it...
By Horse
There aren't that many places you can just turn up to on a horse any more, but we are one of them! Being on the westward tip of the vast bridleway network that cris-crosses the Cambrian Mountains, you can arrive without having to ride in traffic, and as long as your horse doesn't mind sharing a field with some of our sheep, there's always somewhere for them to spend the night, or if they'd prefer a field to themselves, we can accommodate them by prior arrangement. There is also plenty of space to park horse boxes etc next to the campsite.
By Car
If you're arriving by car, we really are very easy to find. Just 2 miles off the A44 on the A4120, half way between the villages of Ponterwyd and Devil's Bridge (see SatNav tips below). The campsite and farm entrance is 300m to the north of the tiny hamlet of Ysbyty Cynfyn (where there are 2 houses and a church), on the eastern side of the road. The main campsite is adjacent to the road and there are signs at the entrance.

If you put the post-code (below) into most sat-navs, they will end your journey 300m down the road from our entrance, by the church at Ysbyty Cynfyn, to get to us from there, just head northwards (towards Ponterwyd) on the main road for 300m and we are on the right.
